Early Career and Research
Following his graduation from the University of Madras, Dr. Mathew received medical training at esteemed teaching institutions in the United Kingdom, including the Queen's Medical Centre at the University of Nottingham and Tennent Institute in Glasgow. He was a clinical lecturer and specialist physician at the University of Nottingham. In addition to his consultant duties at Chesterfield NHS Foundation Trust, where he specialised in treating glaucoma, cornea, and external eye diseases, he was appointed specialty doctor tutor.
Dr. Mathew has presented research papers to his colleagues and authored several journal articles that have undergone peer review. The British Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the United Kingdom Society of Cataract Surgeons are among the organisations to which he actively belongs to.
